This weekend Holy Cross will have their traditional Attic Treasures and Books Sale in the Parish Hall at 150 Melrose Ave. in Tryon. Doors open at 10 am. A light lunch will available for sale. One may eat-in or get a plate to go. Profits from treasures, books and lunch go to support charities of the church.
This year includes two new features. The Holy Cross Artists’ Guild will be open on the second Floor in the Common Room. Holy Cross has many fine artists, presenting turned wood bowls, watercolors, hand woven scarves, fabric art, sculpture, photography. On the first floor in the elevator lobby is another new shop, The Episcopal Gift Shop, featuring everything from dog leashes, t-shirts, ball caps, cookbooks and teddy bears, all with that recognizable Episcopal logo.
