Rev. Shore to speak for Unitarian Universalist Fellowship April 13

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will meet at the Tryon Youth Center on Rt. 176 North at 10:30 a.m. on April 13, 2014. The speaker will be Reverend Sally Beth Shore who will be speaking on the topic, “The Generous Heart”.
There’s a chalice lighting in the hymnal that speaks about “the generous heart” as a mission of Unitarian Universalism. What does it mean to be generous? How can we cultivate a greater generosity within our own hearts? What does it mean to be a giver?
The service will feature some of your experience with giving. Not coincidentally, this is the Sunday that the church embarks on a new adventure for this fellowship: a pledge drive.
We are very excited to take the following two weeks to ask our congregation to consider what of our time, resources and talents we plan to commit to this community in the upcoming church year, which starts July 1.
Fellowship and refreshments precede the service. All are invited. For information, go online to the new website at www.tbuuf.com or call 828-894 5776.
