Funeral services for Mr. Arthur E. Young Jr., 67, of 7214 Middlebury Place, Charlotte, NC will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Garrison Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverend Keith D. Knox officiating.

Body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service

Mr. Young died on Friday, March 14, 2014.

In addition to his mother, the late Christine King Young, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lottie King Barton and his paternal grandmother, Mazie Young Jackson.

Those left to cherish his fond memories and celebrate his life are his children, two sons, Christopher E. Young and Arthur E. Young, III, of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Anita L. Young Wilkins, of Philadelphia, PA; his father, Arthur E. Young, Sr., of Tryon, NC; one brother; Jerry E. (Tammy) Young, of Philadelphia, PA; and one sister, Sandra D. Young, of Orangeburg, SC; one aunt, Lillie M. “Nit” Counts, of Landrum, SC; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Simmons Funeral Home of Orangeburg. SC.
