Democratic precinct meetings to take place this week

Democratic precinct meetings are taking place all this week throughout Polk County.

On Tuesday, March 4 Columbus Precincts 7 and 8 will hold joint meetings at 7 p.m. at the Democratic Headquarters in Columbus. Meanwhile, the Green Creek Precinct 9 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Green Creek Fire Department and the Mill Spring Precinct 6 at 7 p.m. at the Mill Spring Fire Department.

On Thursday, March 6, democrats in Saluda will hold their precinct meeting at 7:45 p.m. in the second floor meeting room of the Saluda Library.
Then on Thursday, March 13 Saluda democrats will host a meeting at The Green River Depot at 6:30 p.m. Interested individu-als are encouraged to come learn about local politics.
Guest speaker Margaret Parker will begin the meeting with briefly educating the group about local issues. Individuals will also get the chance to meet democratic commissioner candidates includ-ing Ray Gasperson, Bill Ingham and Lee Mink.
The Green River Depot is the venue, but it has no political affiliation. Beer will be for sale. Individuals are also encouraged to bring a dish to share.
