Douglas H. Whitener, 93, of Greer, S.C. died Feb. 8.

Surviving are his wife, Dortha “Dot” Mills Whitener of the home; children, Steve Whitener of Greer, S.C. and JoAnne Slay of Jackson, Miss.; sister, Lois Bolin of Landrum; four grandchildren, Misty Miller, Ian Whitener and Tim and Clay Slay; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Feb. 10 at Northwood Baptist Church in Greer.
