Polk County district court results

In Polk County District Court Wednesday, Jan. 15 with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding 109 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Timothy James Abram was convicted of speeding 105 mph in a 65 mph zone. Abram was fined $100 and court costs.

Heather Deloris Hart was convicted of driving while license revoked. Hart was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $300 fine and court costs.

Christopher B. Johnson was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Johnson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Kendel Raymon Lynch was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Lynch was fined $75 and court costs.

Sunil Kantibhai Patel was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Patel was fined $50 and court costs.

Thomas Douglas Smith was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Smith was fined $200 and court costs.
