Keglers chase turkeys at Autumn Lanes

The Carolina Keglers is a very low-key fun league for women and men over 50 who want a little recreation and a little exercise. The emphasis is on fun, not competition. Bowlers are placed on a new team each week.
Stats are kept for individuals, not for teams. This format is quite different from traditional bowling leagues, but the Keglers seem to really enjoy it. They bowl on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. at Autumn Lanes in Forest City. The lanes are made of real wood, rare in today’s synthetic world.
Here are the highlights of the bowling on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
High games over average:
Ruby Drew +39 = 167
Charles Painter +38 = 172
