Brenda Kay Brown Scruggs, 69, of Columbus passed away on Jan. 3, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late Olin Alfred and Estelle Gosnell Brown and wife of the late Jack McArthur Scruggs.
She was retired from ExoPack and was a member of Melvin Hill Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Kaye Scruggs Cyr and Rhonda Lynn Scruggs Hill; two brothers, Ray Brown and Gettys Brown; and two sisters, Peggy Brown Durham and Linda Brown Cantrell; six grandchildren: Katrina, Sarah, Jadon, Delaney, Mckenna and Brandon; and one great-grandchild, Cadence.

The family received friends Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 at Green Creek First Baptist Church.  Funeral services followed at the church.

Burial was at Melvin Hill Church of the Brethren.
