On Dec. 5, eighth graders at Polk County Middle School performed a mock trial, where they scripted arguments for the narrator of Edgar Allan Poe’s story, “The Tell Tale Heart.”
They also researched and performed cases from the 1692 Salem Witch Trials.
A guest judge heard the arguments and declared the winners.
