Lorna Dever will discuss her book “Harmon Fields of America, The Living Legacy of William E. Harmon” Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Polk County Public Library.

Dever, who in the recent past has led Serendipity Kids Camp at Harmon Field as well as been a champion for the park, has written a book compiling as much information as she could find on Harmon’s philanthropic endeavors to make sure communities have green spaces.

Dever began research for the book in 2002. She said her research has found at least 119 communities that benefited from Harmon’s generosity.
