Sue Delamater, the former arts director at Cooper-Riis, passed away from pancreatic cancer in her sister’s home in Potomac Falls, Va. on Saturday, Oct. 19.  She was 61 years old.

Sue was an accomplished artist who strived to work in careers that used her creativity to its fullest. She also felt a spiritual connection to nature and especially to animals. The time she spent at Cooper-Riis combined both her loves and was the apex of her career.

Sue is survived by her son, Glenn Delamater of Lakewood, Colo.; mother Betty Johnston of Columbus; and sister, Pat Thombley of Potomac Falls, Va. She is also survived by her two loving dogs, Annie and Dundee. Sue was extremely thankful for her many friends who were always there for her.
