Polk County Public Library recently received two generous donations: the Polk County Public Library’s Children’s Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation and the Talbot Family Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.

The Children’s Fund was established by anonymous donors in 2007 and provides annual grants for the Polk County Public Library’s children’s programs.

The Polk County Public Library currently has a weekly story time program for preschool aged children, a weekly after-school program for elementary school students, and a monthly book club for middle and high school students.

The Talbot Family Fund was established by the late Marilyn B. Talbot. This endowment was provided to the Polk County Public Library for the acquisition of books at the Saluda branch.
