The Eastside Citizens Advisory Committee and Roseland Community Center will sponsor a “Meet the Candidates” forum at Roseland Community Center on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 6–8 p.m.

The forum will commence with a brief opening statement from each candidate, followed by a question and answer period. Light refreshments will be provided, and the community is encouraged to get to know the candidates for mayor and town of Tryon council.

Candidates running for mayor are Alan Peoples and Jim Wright.

Candidates for town council are Doug Arbogast, Bill Crowell, William (Bill) Ingham, Happy McCleod, Billy Moss and William (Wim) Woody.

Roseland Community Center is located at the intersection of East Howard and Peake Streets.
