39th annual Kiln Opening Festival on Oct. 12

Little Mountain Pottery, the studio of Claude and Elaine Graves, will hold it’s 39th Annual Kiln Opening Festival on Oct. 12.
The festival, which is free and open to the public, will feature guest artists, craftspeople and mountain music.
The festival has been recognized in the “Blue Ridge Music Trails” guide published by the University of North Carolina Press as a place to hear traditional music.
The stoneware kiln will be opened at 11 a.m. and the festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Claude Graves has been recognized as a “Traditional Artist” of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area for his contribution to the craft heritage of the state.
Little Mountain Pottery is located six miles from Columbus at 6372 Peniel Rd.
