He also wrote or co-wrote the screenplays for “Last American Hero,” “The Gravy Train,” “Hooper,” and “Dead Men Can’t Dance” and wrote the original story for “Firepower.” His work also included numerous stories for television, including two episodes of “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” and, most recently, the highly acclaimed History Channel miniseries “The Hatfields and the McCoys.”

The Tryon Connection series will include five other presentations on the following Tuesday evenings: Oct. 1, Oct. 15, Nov. 5, Nov. 19 and Dec 3.  Individual tickets will be available at the door, or you can purchase a series ticket beginning Sept. 10.

The series will also host a special costume gala prior to the Nov. 19 showing of The Great Gatsby with Robert Redford for an additional fee.
These presentations are made possible through a grant for equipment from the Polk County Community Foundation and sponsorship from The Tryon Theater.
