Gwendolyn Marie Walker of Landrum graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in religion,

minoring in Christian Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. on July 5.

Summa Cum Laude is awarded to students with a 3.90 or higher overall GPA.

Walker is the wife of Mark Walker of Landrum, and the daughter of Gerald and Linda Ensminger of Summerville, SC.

Since 2005, she has been an assistant pastor at Redeemed International Church in Landrum, where she is also employed as the church treasurer.

Walker received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord in May 1993. Since that time, she has served in various volunteer positions in the church and has been on seven overseas mission trips. She is excited to see how the Lord will use her in ministry going forward.
