He spent nearly a year from the time he was first found (chained to a stake in the ground and full of mange) to his final adoption.

I told his story step by step and though many grew to love him, few would take the chance of adopting a large Pit-Mastiff cross.

In the end, it was little Lily who looked past the countenance of this magnificent beast straight into his heart and properly read the promised look of love and loyalty emitting from his eyes.

I had the opportunity to visit with Soldier and his new family last Saturday and his greeting brought tears to my eyes. Many asked how my sweet Soldier is doing; I’ll let some of the photos that were taken speak for me.
