Betty Hipp Gosnell, 75, of Saluda died Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the Elizabeth House, Hendersonville, N.C.

Born in Polk County in 1937, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Julia Brock Hipp. A seamstress during her working life, Mrs. Gosnell was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Albert G. Gosnell of Saluda; one son, Albert Randall Gosnell (Patricia) of Hendersonville, N.C.; two daughters, Teresa G. Roberts (Roger) of Mill Spring and Samantha G. Sester (Barry) of Saluda. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Brittany N. Roberts, Brandon Gosnell, Joshua Sester and Jacob Sester.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Friendship Baptist Church, Saluda, with the Rev. Henry Vector officiating.

Burial will be held following the service in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 just prior to the service in Friendship Baptist Church.
