Kenneth Allen Livingston of Saluda, N.C. died May 31 at the age of 68. Family and friends are invited to a commemoration of his life at his home on June 15 at 3 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Foothills Humane Society of Columbus.

Ken Livingston was born to the late Park and Ellen Livingston in Steelton, P.A.  After a lively high school career playing football, baseball and basketball for Steelton-HighSpire High School, he served in the Air Force during Vietnam. Ken lived and worked in Hilton Head Island and Columbia, S.C. as an architectural designer and home builder before semi-retirement in the Green River Gorge where he took a shine to mountain living. A man who never met a stranger, his door was always open. He loved relaxing with friends on his porch and floating down the river with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by four children, Julie Livingston of Irmo, S.C.; Natalie Livingston of Lexington, S.C.; Stephen Livingston of West Columbia, S.C.; and JoAnn Zeise of Irmo, S.C. and his brother Dick Livingston of Gainesville, Fla. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grand child.
