Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry (Outreach) has received a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation (PCCF) to hire two local high school students as interns for the summer.

“We’re very grateful to the PCCF for providing the funding to help us hire interns again this year,” said Carol Newton, Outreach’s executive director. “We believe that the students will gain valuable work experience and have the chance to help our neighbors in need.”

The internships will begin on June 26 and run through Aug. 6. In order to comply with the grant requirements, students must be enrolled in high school or a similar homeschool program at the time of the start of the internship. Students must also be at least 16 years old and reside in Polk County or Landrum (zip code 29356).
