Harry Reed of Landrum High School has been awarded a Spartanburg Methodist College scholarship.

Reed ranks 29th in the state for high school tennis players. He has trained with Carolina Jr. Tennis Program Coach Cary Davenport for six years. Reed’s coach in tennis at the present time is Edgar Rodriguez.

“I love tennis, and I knew that it could help with my financial academic career, so I applied to all the schools around the state.  All the colleges I applied for have qualifications requiring solid academic standings for the applicants as well as good state tennis rankings,” said Reed.
