The Bostic Lincoln Center (BLC) Museum in Bostic, N.C. recently hosted a group of 17 visitors from Polk County.

The trip was arranged by Philip Cochran and sponsored by the Church of Christ on Hwy. 176 north in Tryon. Keith Price, president emeritus and docent for the day, shared the BLC story and showed a documentary. Lydia Clontz, museum director, who welcomed the guests, lived in Tryon for 24 years before moving to Rutherford County.

The Bostic Lincoln Center, an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in celebration of their five-year anniversary, will sponsor a Bostic Lincoln Spring Festival, Saturday, April 20. Beginning at 10 a.m. will be all-day free entertainment and concluding with the “Sparkletones” of Spartanburg at 3 p.m. and the play “Nancy Hanks, Bondswoman” at 4 p.m.
