Richard H. Klerk II

Richard H. Klerk II, 86, husband of Eleanor Schickler Klerk, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at Mary Black Hospital.

Born in Queens County, N.Y., he was a son of the late Richard H. and Loretta Seidenburg Klerk.
Mr. Klerk was a good and beloved husband, father and grandfather.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, retired as a radio engineer with N.Y. Telephone Co. and was a Mason. He formerly attended Tryon United Methodist Church and was currently attending Central United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Richard H. Klerk III and wife, Louise of Elizabethtown, Ind., William J. Klerk and wife, Jullie of Tryon, N.C., and Eric G. Klerk and wife, Valerie of Commerce, Ga.; a brother, Kenneth Klerk and wife, Rosemary and a sister, Helen Klerk, all of Centerport, N.Y.; grandchildren, William J. Klerk, Alexander J. Klerk, Jonathan E. Klerk and Jaclyn V. Klerk.

A memorial service for family and friends was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 15, at Bobo Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Alex Stevenson.
