Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 243 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court records):
Christopher Jame Behan was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Behan was fined $30 and court costs.
Robert Montieth Bell was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Bell was fined $100 and court costs.
Michael Oryan Blounts was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Blounts was sentenced to five days in jail.
Paul McKenzie Butler was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Butler was fined $30 and court costs.
Gregory Cabbil was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Cabbil was to pay court costs.
Kenneth Chase Carnes was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired and driving after consuming alcohol under age 21. Carnes was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and a $25 fine for driving after consuming.
Tiffany Cavender was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Cavender was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
Luciano Marre Estrada was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Estrada was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail with credit for time served, a $100 fine and court costs.
Malcolm Dwayne Hannon was convicted of assault on a female and battery of unborn child. Hannon was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
Jordan J. Heiskell was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Heiskell was fined $50 and court costs.
Howard Allan Jones was convicted of expired registration card/tag. Jones was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Gena Michelle Knight was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Knight was fined $30 and court costs.
Grace Low was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Low was fined $30 and court costs.
Craig Ranson Mitchem was convicted of felony breaking and or entering and felony larceny after breaking and or entering. Mitchem was sentenced to 12-15 months at the N.C. Department of Corrections with credit for 99 days.
Rachel Michell Mullins was convicted of no operator’s license. Mullins was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Larry Franklin Powell was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Powell was fined $40 and court costs.
Marshall Alan Pye was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pye was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for time served.
William Brit Robertson was convicted of second degree trespassing. Robertson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
James Terry Smart Jr. was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Smart was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Savannah Dale Swofford was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Swofford was fined $30 and court costs.
Brett Wallace Trauth was convicted of speeding 94 mph in a 65 mph zone. Trauth was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $94 fine and court costs.
