Maternal great-grandparents are Grace Nodine and the late Clyde Nodine, and Paul and Thelma Toms, all of Rutherfordton, N.C.
Paternal great-grandparents are Gene Anderson and the late Shirley Anderson of Saluda, as well as the late Edna Cook of Greenville, S.C. and the late Charles Singleton of Greenville, S.C.
