Tryon Youth Center awards scholarships

Tryon Youth Center’s board of directors recently announced four Polk County High School 2012 graduates received scholarships from the youth center.
Allison Clayton, daughter of Paul J. and Tracey Clayton, was awarded the Tryon Federal Russell Constance Memorial Scholarship. Clayton plans to attend UNC-Chapel Hill and major in foreign languages and linguistics.
Anna Koenig, daughter of Catherine Raymond and Tomas Koenig, was awarded the Tryon Federal Ray Foster Honorarium Scholarship. Koenig plans to attend UNC-Wilmington and focus on marine environmental conservation and research opportunities.
Jennifer Page, daughter of Donald and Lisa Page, was awarded the Henson’s Inc. Scholarship. Page plans to attend UNC-Wilmington and major in Spanish and business with a career goal as a translator.
Rachel Vining, daughter of John and Pam Vining, was awarded the James Bryant/Kate Ross McKaig Scholarship. Vining plans to attend Carson-Newman College and study international business.
