The Polk County Democratic Party will hold a family picnic on Saturday, June 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the Mill Spring Agricultural and Development Center, located behind the Mill Spring post office at Hwy. 9 and Hwy. 108.
Democrats and those who would like to learn more about Democratic candidates are invited to enjoy fajitas, ice cream, live music and children’s activities, including a giant slide and face painting by Polk clerk of court candidate Pam Hyder and her daughters.
Attending the event will be Polk commissioner candidates Emily Hyder Bartlett, Renée McDermott and Russell Mierop, state legislative candidates George Alley and Phil Feagan (both from Polk County) and U.S. congressional candidate Patsy Keever.
The free event will be held rain or shine.
