The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission plans June 2 to open almost 65 miles of waterways, including the Green River in Polk County, classified as delayed-harvest trout waters.
Hatchery-supported regulations allow the waters to remain open through Sept. 30. There are no bait restrictions or minimum size limits during this time, although anglers are restricted to seven fish per day.
Delayed-harvest trout waters are posted with diamond-shaped, black-and-white signs. For more information, visit www.ncwildlife.org.
