Polk Central Elementary fourth and fifth grade girls attended Converse College Girls Day on March 16. They attended events around the Converse College campus in Spartanburg, S.C. The stations included sign language, CRP, child safety, Zumba, yoga, soccer, tennis, face painting and healthy eating. Most sessions were led by Converse students. The girls also had fun playing games in the gym, using sidewalk chalk and relaxing around the fountain. The Polk County Community Foundation supported this event. (photo submitted by Lisa Pritchard)
