St. Luke’s Hospital is pleased to announce Gail Dyer has accepted the position of thrift shop manager. In this position, Dyer will work closely with 75 volunteers and manage the day-to-day operations of the St. Luke’s Hospital Thrift Shop.
Although she may be a new face at the thrift shop, Dyer is a familiar presence on Trade Street in Tryon. She was employed by Fashion 200, a clothing retail store now known as PJ’s Fashions in Landrum.
Later, Dyer and close friend Sheila Fisher purchased Isadora’s Closet Consignment Shop and ran that business until 2001 in the same building where the St. Luke’s Thrift Shop is located today.
After the sale of Isadora’s Closet in 2001, Gail was co-owner of a painting and home staging business that offered her the flexible schedule to care for her ailing mother. After her mother passed away, Gail decided she needed to return to work.
