Spring is here!
Beautiful dogwood trees, tulips, yellow bells, azaleas, thrift and brides wreath plants are blooming all around us.
I love this time of year! It is time to celebrate spring and the upcoming Easter season. Area churches are preparing for numerous celebrations, and invite everyone to join them in these special events.
On Palm Sunday, April 1, Green Creek First Baptist Church will celebrate with a luncheon after the morning worship service, which begins at 10:40 a.m.. An Easter egg hunt follows lunch at the church.
On Easter Sunday, April 8, a sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m., and at the morning worship service, the beautiful voices of the Green Creek Church choir will present the cantata, “Arise My Love,” at 10:40 a.m.. There will be no evening service on Easter Sunday. For  directions or more information, call the church office at 828-863-2600.
Also on Palm Sunday, the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church (PCA) invites everyone to a special service at 11 a.m. and to the fellowship luncheon that follows.
