To the Editor:
I don’t know squat about running for office.
I have great respect for those who are willing to serve others and make the world a better place. I do know George Alley, though, and I know that he would never shirk a responsibility. If he couldn’t perform his duties, he would step down or take a leave of absence.
Have you been to Harmon Field in the last five years? The place is a jewel. None of us know all the work he does behind the scenes to make the place fantastic for young and old. Believe me, that’s not easy, and if there was a problem you would hear about that.
So let’s fix this silly ordinance pronto. We need to treat our own better, especially when they’re getting the job done every day.
