Mary Lee Parker Hayes, 94, of Tryon passed away March 17, 2012 in White Oak Manor, Tryon.
Born in Henderson County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Jane Johnson Parker. She was the widow of Rev. R. B. Hayes, who died in l996. An LPN at Greenville General Hospital, she retired after more than 20 years of service. She was a charter member of Tryon Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as pianist for a number of years.
Surviving are: a son, Dr. Steven Hayes (Carole) of Johnson City, Tenn.; a daughter, Linda Hayes Henderson of Campobello; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Arthur Campbell and Rev. Don McKeller officiating.
Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 20 in the funeral chapel.
Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus,
