Polk district court results

Feb. 22 session
In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Feb. 22, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 116 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):
Soacth Calderon was convicted of speeding 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Calderon was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $91 fine and court costs.
Debra Jean Camp was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Camp was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $92 fine and court costs.
Margaret Austin Curtis was convicted of speeding 70 mph in a 65 mph zone. Curtis was fined $30 and court costs.
Perry Edward Deese was convicted speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deese was sentenced to a $30 fine and court costs.
Jakob Paul Greenway was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Greenway was fined $40 and court costs.
Heather Deloris Hart was convicted of level 4 driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. Hart was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and 12 months unsupervised probation for driving while license revoked.
Reggie Van Higgins was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, possession of unsealed wine/liquor in passenger area and driving while license revoked. Higgins was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $300 fine and court costs.
Christopher J. Kalafut was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Kalafut was fined $30 and court costs.
Susan Taylor Miller was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Miller was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Chelsie Diane Ruff was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Ruff was fined $40 and court costs.
Marlon Shane Ruff was convicted of resisting a public officer. Ruff was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.
Feb. 24 session
In Polk County District Court held Friday, Feb. 24, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 59 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):
John Allen Albree II was convicted of second-degree trespass. Albree was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served.
