At Steps to HOPE’s February board of directors meeting, board president Paul Sutherland presented executive director Rachel Ramsey with the “Star Performer Award,” given in recognition of outstanding performance by a board member, staff or volunteer.
Ramsey was chosen as the initial recipient of this award for having “… given unselfishly of herself for many years to Steps to HOPE. Her leadership is responsible for creating a workplace climate in which employees want to excel in their jobs not because they have to, but because they want to.”
The award continues, “Rachel takes any challenge in stride and is a superb leader, always wearing a smile and ready, willing and able to help anyone. Steps to HOPE is what it is today because of Rachel Ramsey. We are truly fortunate and blessed to have her as our executive director. Rachel is a true shining star.”
