Friday, Jan. 27 session

In Polk County District Court held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 with Judge David K. Fox presiding, 44 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):

Amanda Michelle Belue was convicted of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and no operator’s license. Belue was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit for time served.

Charles Matthew Moore was convicted of intoxicated and disruptive behavior. Moore was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Travis Axson Morris was convicted of making a false report of a theft of a motor vehicle. Morris was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $80 fine and court costs.

Robin Crystal Walker was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Walker was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, a $160 fine and court costs.

Debra V. Wulff was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Wulff was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail with credit for time served, a $200 fine and court costs.

Bryan Rashaad Rhodes was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Rhodes was fined $65 and court costs.

Chad Eric Franklin Kirby was convicted of misdemeanor breaking or entering, resisting public officer and carrying a concealed weapon. Kirby was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for time served.

Joshua Czeth Turner was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Turner was fined $30 and court costs.

Feb. 1 session

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 118 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):

Courtney M. Bellefeuil was convicted of speeding 94 mph in a 65 mph zone. Bellefeuil was fined $94 and court costs.

Pooya Eslami was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Eslami was fined $30 and court costs.

Samantha Emory Foster was convicted of level 2 driving while impaired. Foster was sentenced to one year supervised probation, eight days in jail, a $200 fine and court costs for driving while impaired.

Daniel Joshua Greer was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Greer was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.

Nicholas Wesley Jolley was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Jolley’s probation was terminated.

Dale Michael Maynard was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Maynard was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.

Randal Carl McAninch was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. McAninch was fined $30 and court costs.

Andrew Steve McDowell was convicted of a misdemeanor probation violation. McDowell’s sentence was modified to 45 days in jail.

Nigel Kane Pyatt was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Pyatt was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and court costs.

Jeremy Tyson Ravan was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Upon payment of $230, Ravan’s probation is terminated.

Emily Rae Ruff was convicted of failure to wear seat belt – driver. Ruff was fined $25 and court costs.

Mark Steven Uptegraff was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Uptegraff was fined $30 and court costs.
