Ann B. Tate

Ann B. Tate, 64, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Robert “Jerry” Tate, to whom she was married 33 years on Aug. 12, 2011.
Mrs. Tate was born on May 30, 1947 in Tryon, a daughter of the late George and Rosa (Bradley) Bridgeman. She was a graduate of Landrum High School.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, traveling locally and visiting Myrtle Beach with her family.
Mrs. Tate was a member of New Life Baptist Church, Thomasville, N.C.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at New Life Baptist Church at 152 Litwin Drive in Thomasville, with Pastor Michael Mabe officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 – 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tate is survived by a daughter, Angela Rose Tedder Sexton, and husband, Eric, of Colfax, N.C.; a granddaughter, Ireland Rose Sexton of Colfax; a brother, Doug Bridgeman, and wife, Carolyn, of Oklahoma; a sister, Maggie Sue Edwards of Tryon; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth, Doris, Hazel and Blanche.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ann’s life to New Life Baptist Church, 152 Litwin Drive, Thomasville, N.C. 27360.
