The 12th annual Landrum Drug Basketball Battle of the Border tournament was a big success over the holidays. Byrnes High School won the boys title and East Rutherford High School won the girls title.
Landrum Drug was the corporate sponsor for the tournament.
“Their support over the years has been outstanding and helps us provide a top-notch program for our student-athletes,” said LHS Athletic Director John Cann. “[We appreciate] Dennis Burdette and the fine staff at Landrum Drug.”
The following local businesses also donated food and products for the hospitality room: Ayers Market, Bojangles, Bilo, Doghouse Restaurant, Dutch Plate Restaurant, Ingles, Nodine`s Restaurant, Southside Smokehouse BBQ Restaurant and Subway.
The school also had numerous parents that donated their time to work the gate, cook food and work the concession stand.
