Katie Kay Virginia Williams McGuinn, 92, of Skyuka Road, Columbus passed away Monday morning, Jan. 30, 2012 in Autumn Care of Saluda.
Born in Wilson County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Minnie Lucas Williams. For 67 years she was the wife of late John W. McGuinn, who died in 2007. She was a retired nurse and a member of Tryon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, John Anthony McGuinn of Fair Oaks, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Gayle K. McGuinn of Roebuck, S.C., and one sister, Eloise Spelios of San Antonio, Fla.
Also surviving are five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Terry R. McGuinn, and four sisters.
At the request of Mrs. McGuinn, no services are planned.
