Page honored for 25 years of first responder service
The Green Creek Fire Department held its annual awards dinner on Saturday, Jan. 21.
The following awards were given:
• Firefighter of the Year: Lambret Ridings
• Junior Firefighter of the Year: Ethan Edwards
• Rookie Firefighter of the Year: Crystal Cordell
• First Responder of the Year: Benjamin Wagner
• Officer of the Year: Jeremy Reid
Honorary Chief William Page, who has 48 years of service with Green Creek Fire Department, received a special award to honor him for his 25 years of service to the citizens of Green Creek as a First Responder.
Chief Page was one of the charter members of the Polk County First Responder Program, which was responsible for the first responders before the fire department assumed responsibility for the program and started providing ambulance service in 2008.
The following members were also honored for their years of service to the Green Creek Fire Department:
• Coy Painter, 30 years
• Kenneth Jolley, 25 years
• Nick Edwards, 10 years
• Lambret Ridings, 10 years
• Lisa Culberson, 5 years
• Jennifer Yoder, 5 years
