Mobile recycling kudos

To the Editor:
This morning my husband and I discovered that the place to be in Tryon at 10:30 a.m. on a Monday morning is the Harmon Field mobile recycling site.
There were seven vehicles there while we were. Each person was carrying cardboard, newspaper and mixed glass and plastic to sort into the bins. The attendant greeted us all in a friendly manner. It was a quick and efficient way to dispose of our recycling.
Kudos must go to Cindy Walker, who saw the need for recycling in our community, educated its constituents and persevered until the effort became a reality.
We appreciate her for her vision and effort.
