Bill Leonard Parker, 77, of 133 George Parker Road died Jan. 5, 2012. He was the son of the late George and Dolly Scruggs Parker and husband of Brenda Finch Parker. He was a member of  Rock Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He had worked for McDowell Masonry and Paul Reneau Construction.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step-daughters, Patty Blackwell of Spartanburg, S.C. and Lori Tisler of Moore, S.C. and a sister, Geraldine P. Edwards of Columbus. He was predeceased by two brothers, Austin and John Parker.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church, conducted by Rev. Randy Smith and Rev. Craig Scruggs.
