Cub scouts help Outreach

The cub scouts from the local pack 659 recently fulfilled their promise to “help other people” while having fun on their bikes. Boys from all ranks gathered to learn about bike safety and maintenance while enjoying the fun and thrill of riding a bike. Boys got friends and neighbors to sponsor them for a 1-mile ride, with all the proceeds going to Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry to help neighbors with heating bills this winter. (photo submitted)

Scouts presented Michele Reedy and Carol Newton of Outreach with a check for $538 and delivered around 300 items of food for the community. (photo submitted)
