Oct. 16-22, 2011, is the fifth annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries week, making it a good time to publicly acknowledge the Friends of the Polk County Public Library who contribute so much of their time and expertise to significantly enhance our services.
I know the Polk County Public Library is a source of pride for our community. Our friends group is a source of pride as well. I hope that interested Polk County residents will contact the library to find out how they can join and support this outstanding group.
