Hospice of the Carolina Foothills (HoCF) recently received a grant from The Grainger Foundation in recognition of the work Hospice has done in the community. For 30 years, the organization has worked to provide end-of-life care to people in the Carolina Foothills, most recently adding inpatient services to those who need acute care. Since the Hospice House opened, more than 400 patients, and their families, have been served there.
Hospice officials said these funds will assist in providing care to those who seek help.
The Grainger Foundation, an independent foundation based in Lake Forest, Ill., was established in 1949 by William W. Grainger, founder of W.W. Grainger, Inc.
