The Church Women United had an area meeting on Aug. 20 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville. Penny Pearson, women’s supervisor of the Hendersonville rescue mission was the speaker.
The theme of the meeting was “Here I am, God.” Janet Joem got the Polk County Singers together for two special members. Polk County was represented at the meeting with about 20 ladies attending.
Guests were served with light refreshments at registration time and were given a lunch when the program was over. The CWU would like to thank the Trinity Presbyterian Church ladies.
