Saluda residents enjoyed music, barbecue and community at the annual Charlie Ward Memorial Pig Out at McCreery Park, Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. The barbecue event was started by Charlie Ward many years ago to thank the residents of Saluda for patronizing his store. Charlie passed away Aug. 1, 2008, and the event continues as a town tradition organized and funded by Saluda citizens for Saluda citizens. (photo by Bonnie J. Bardos)
