The clogging groups from Dance Dynamics, under the direction of Missy Fincher and Katrina Kaplin, stayed busy this year.

The groups performed last fall at Farmer’s Day and a Clogging Champions of America competition “Mountain Classic” at Polk County High School, where they placed third in their division. At Christmas they performed a holiday-themed show for the Tryon Stroll. In March, some of the members offered entertainment at
Super Saturday. Also in March, some members went to the National Clogging Convention in Gatlinburg, Tenn. where they learned from top clogging and dance instructors. They also competed against other dancers from across the country and received fourth place in their division.

In the spring, they performed at Blue Ridge Heritage Festival, the Lake Lure Spring Festival, and the Spartanburg Spring Fling and went to a competition at Brevard College, where they won third place.
