Five Polk County students will be participating in a mission trip to Xian, China this summer from July 14 through July 26. The girls will be part of a group of 13 conducting a basketball clinic there. To help raise money for the trip, there will be a BBQ dinner and classic car show taking place this Saturday, June 4 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in Sterns Park. The meal will include barbecue, baked beans, slaw or chips and a drink. The cost of the meal will be donations only. The Polk County Baptist Association will serve as host if there is rain.
