Muddy Mountain Madness, a team of Polk County females including Alison Hamrick (left), Erin Alley, Wendi Jordan and Mandy Wolfe, competed in the U.S. Marine Corps Mud Run in Gaston, S.C., on Saturday, April 16. The challenging course included 5.2 miles of running with 34 obstacles. The local group participated in the ‘Open Female’ category and placed fifth out of 104 teams with a time of 1:20.
